Greensboro Vibe is a local magazine about living well in Greensboro, North Carolina. We cover the gyms, studios, trails, kitchens, salons, clinics and gathering places that make up everyday life here — in Fisher Park and Lindley Park, along the Downtown Greenway and the Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway, around Elm Street and the trails at Lake Brandt, Lake Townsend and Country Park, and out through Summerfield, Oak Ridge, Jamestown and High Point.

And the things that are particular to this city: Guilford Courthouse National Military Park and the Bur-Mil green space, campus life around UNC Greensboro, North Carolina A&T and Guilford College, and a furniture and textile history that still shapes what gets made here.
How we work
Every business we write about is a real, currently operating business that we have verified. We do not invent places, we do not recycle press releases, and we check that a business is still open before we send readers to its door. When something closes or moves, we go back and fix the article.
We do not publish rankings or “best of” lists. Reducing a city’s wellness community to a numbered list rewards marketing budgets rather than quality, and it goes stale the week it is published. We would rather describe what a place actually does, who it is for, and what it costs, and let you decide.
On the size of this city
Greensboro is a mid-sized market and we write it that way. Some categories here have three or four genuinely independent operators rather than thirty. A short list that is true is worth more than a long one that has been padded out, so when a category is thin we say so instead of filling it.
