The Carolina Classic Fair runs out its last three days this weekend, and the sky decides when you go. The National Weather Service office in Raleigh has Friday mostly cloudy and 75°F with no rain, Saturday cloudy and 69°F with a 17 percent chance of showers, and Sunday at 71°F with showers and thunderstorms at a 98 percent probability. Friday and Saturday daytime are the dry windows; plan Sunday indoors.

The Carolina Classic Fair closes its 144th year on Sunday at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. Gates are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Sunday and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, with ticket gates shutting at 9 p.m. Admission is $10 for ages 6 and up, $3 more at the gate, free for 5 and under; Friday counts as a weekday, so entry before 1 p.m. is free. A $30 unlimited-ride wristband is sold Saturday 9 a.m. to noon and rides until 2 p.m.

The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market is open Saturday 8 a.m. to noon at 501 Yanceyville Street, with free parking on site. One line of the market’s own copy still says 7:30 a.m. while its header and FAQ say 8, so skip the early half hour.

In High Point, the Pepper Blast Chili Cook-off takes over the High Point Farmers Market on Saturday at 901 N Main Street. The market itself runs 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine; judging starts at 10:30 a.m. Entries come from the city fire and police departments and, this year, the Public Library in its centennial; shoppers vote a People’s Choice winner.

Marshall Muse Gallery at 314 North Church Street has free mask making from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, no booking and no experience needed. It sits inside the gallery’s wider Second Saturday open studio, which runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and publishes no price.

Toubab Krewe plays The Move at 523 South Elm Street on Saturday — doors 7 p.m., show at 8, $20 in advance or $25 at the door, 21 and up. The band builds instrumental sets from West African string traditions and rock, so expect a dancing room.

High Point’s first Kids Fest begins at noon Sunday at the High Point Athletic Complex, 2920 School Park Road, and admission is free. It is outdoors on the wettest day of the three and the city has published no rain plan, so check before you load the car.

If Sunday arrives the way the forecast says, Bouquets & Bubbly is the indoor answer: a floral arranging class 2 to 4 p.m. at Marshall Muse Gallery, $65, with Prosecco or kombucha and an arrangement in a glass vase to carry home.
